Zippers for Children

Depending on the age of the child, considerations include safety, durability and fabric weight. Safety is of paramount concern at IDEAL so we make all of our zippers lead free. In addition all separators are rigorously designed to ensure that they easily pass the single side top stop test. This ensures that the slider will not come off and become a potential choking hazard to a young child.

Wal-Mart Approved Sliders for Children's Wear

Design Tips

When possible use a larger slider pull so that young hands (or parents) can easily grasp and use the zipper.

Did you Know?

When using Delrin (molded) separators, our K-stop provides extra protection against the slider separating from the zipper.

Molded top stops will not scratch the neck.
